Data Warehouse Tester

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Tester with specialized expertise in SAS Analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing data warehouses, ETL processes, and business intelligence solutions, along with experience in testing both batch and online processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data systems through meticulous testing and validation.

Your job

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for data warehouse and ETL processes, focusing on SAS Analytics.
• Validate data transformation rules, data mappings, and data loads within SAS environments.
• Conduct thorough testing of data integration points, data extracts, and data reporting using SAS tools.
• Perform data validation and data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency in SAS datasets.
• Utilize SAS programming (e.g., SAS Base, SAS Macro) for querying and validating data.
• Test batch processes to ensure they execute correctly, handle errors appropriately, and produce accurate outputs.
• Test online processes to ensure they function correctly in real-time environments and provide accurate, timely results.
• Collaborate with developers, data architects, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage of test cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and change control activities.
• Automate data validation and testing processes where applicable using SAS tools.
• Provide detailed reports and dashboards on testing outcomes and quality metrics.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

• Proven experience in data warehouse testing, including ETL processes and data validation, with a focus on SAS Analytics.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of testing both batch and online processes.
• Knowledge of data quality and data governance best practices.

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
