The Finance Business Partner EU Technology Investments is part of the EU Tech Finance team and reports to the EU Finance Director (Tech). This role will be dealing with strategic change projects that are highly complex, both in terms of financial modeling, as well as stakeholder management.

You will collaborate closely with IT leadership, IT program managers and related stakeholders to implement the European Technology strategy and related transformation programs.

The Finance Business Partner EU Technology Investments will support the Technology Management teams across Europe by driving the capital investment proposals and decision-making process for strategic, multi-brand Technology programs and projects, as well as conducting subsequent financial control and analysis. 

You will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work and broaden your horizons by working together with knowledgeable colleagues from different countries who have an abundance of expertise in many areas. Key responsibilities of your role

Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:

 Business partnering:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to tech leaders, providing financial guidance related to capital investments in IT programs and projects. 

Business case and investment proposal development:

  • Develop robust business cases that articulate justifications, cost and benefit estimations, and return on investment of IT initiatives.
  • Challenge business cases in collaboration with Technology teams, ensuring underlying assumptions are aligned and well understood.
  • Lead the development, analysis and decision-making process for capital investment proposals related to IT programs and projects.
  • Collaborate with IT program and project managers, department heads and executives
  • Present and discuss relevant conclusions and recommendations to the Technology Management team and other stakeholders for validation. 

Capital investment recharges:

  • Develop, maintain and document the capital investments recharges models.
  • Prepare and communicate the estimated investment recharges to the participating countries and to the Group 

Risk management:

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities associated with the IT programs and projects, proposing mitigation strategies to optimize financial outcomes and minimize financial losses. 

Performance monitoring:

  • Monitor actual costs and benefits of IT programs/projects against established business cases.
  • Prepare relevant financial analyses and reports and communicate to key stakeholders. 

Continuous improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in capital investment processes, tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent, ideally in economics or business
  • Experience in working in a matrix structured, international environment
  • You bring 7+ years of experience in difference finance roles, preferably in Business Controlling, Business Partnering and/or Finance (project) Management
  • Extensive experience with financial modeling and investment planning
  • The ideal candidate brings experience in financial management of tech projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to simplify / analyze complex financial areas
  • Good verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Being able to function with high pressure work situations
