As a Senior Project Manager your scope will be our Bank organisation. You will be responsible for executing large strategic change initiatives in which you work together with colleagues throughout the Bank- and the broader NN organisation and also MT Bank members. Main character of the initiatives is that these are complex, with high impact and are department- and value chain overarching.

What you are going to do

As Sr Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic change initiatives within Bank. You will enable the delivery of initiatives and help the Empowered Product Teams to deliver high impact work. You possess execution power by getting things done even without hierarchical mandate; use influence rather than control, are result oriented (are able to lead and support teams to realize strategic and complex change objectives) and you are excellent in planning but you know that success comes from execution. Next to that you have strong stakeholder management- and communication skills, and you have a clear focus on collaboration.

You show a high level of organizational sensitivity because of your deep under-standing of the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of the organization. This makes you are broadly accepted as a sparring partner and advisor. You have strong analytical skills and bring planning and structure to the initiatives. You can transform an innovative idea in an understandable story.

Your responsibilities

You are the driver of the execution with a no-nonsense mentality and hands-on- and proactive approach. You will manage complex initiatives and ensure projects are delivering on the planned objectives and value
You have the responsibility to set the goals, budget and planning to be able to deliver and realize the various projects
You proactively keep the relevant stakeholders informed in a timely manner about the progress of the various projects and keep them involved in the decision-making process by reporting on OKR’s, progress and KPI’s of strategic projects/initiatives
Expectations regarding risk and quality are shared and guaranteed and transparent, and escalations regarding the project are addressed in a timely manner
Highlights key project interdependencies and aligns implementation plans with inter-dependent initiatives

Bachelor/master degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience within the financial industry, with a proven track record in successful managing change initiatives as Project Manager. You have demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management. From business case developments, to executive stakeholder management, and most importantly finalizing the execution together with multidisciplinary and agile teams and reaching the planned results in a complex environment
You are proven knowledgeable in retail banking both from product- as financial and risk perspective
You understand the customer, operational and IT language within the multi distribution environment and know how to translate complex matters into simple and practical solutions. You don’t only manage the process, but you are hands on and understand the content of your initiative
A typical challenge in your role is dealing with multiple stakeholders across different BUs. Vital is that you are flexible, have the ability to gain peoples trust and are service oriented and have excellence communication skills. Connecting with people comes natural to you
You know that success comes from the execution and you deliver results as planned
Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken)

Who you will work with

NN Bank is aiming to become the Future Ready Digital Retail Bank for our customers. The Transformation team is the linking pin and has an orchestrating role towards the organization and the Management Team of Bank. The Transformation team is responsible for strategy, programme- and project management (execution) and demand management for NN Bank.

Your Transformation Team currently consist of three (senior) programme- and project managers. Together, you are responsible for the execution of the strategic initiatives of Bank. Besides that, you have two strategy consultants in your team, who are responsible for strategy, OKR setting and support the decision-making processes of MT Bank on strategic topics. They also provide and monitor the strategic effectiveness and are responsible for the reporting. Also the demand manager resides in your team. This colleague is responsible (together with local demand managers) for contract management within Bank.

The whole team reports to the Head of Transformation and works closely together with colleagues from all organisational parts of NN Bank, Customer & Digital, and NN Group departments like IT, Finance and Risk.
